In addition to research I enjoy playing violin (orchestral, chamber music, and the occasional fiddle gig) and piano. I also enjoy painting and photography, and am an avid film enthusiast. I am currently attempting to combine my love of the visual arts with science by learning how to do time-lapse photography of natural phenomena (such as aphid gall formation!).
