 Aphid GallDissection of a gall formed on Arctostaphylos manzanita by Tamalia coweni aphids. The gall was collected from the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve in Butte County in November, well after the end of the season when the aphids are active (April-September). Aphid exoskeletons can be seen littering the inside of the gall from early molts. |
